Evil

A Disturbingly Watchable Supernatural Series

By Mike Singleton 💜 Mikeydred Published about 9 hours ago 1 min read

Introduction

This is one of those series that I dropped into because certain series I was watching had finished. Certain things about it still disturb me, which is what you should expect from a series based on a supernatural premise.

Given that I am on Series Two means that I have been hooked, but that happened with "Supernatural", which I would recommend to anyone.

Anyway, on to what I think about this without any spoilers.

Evil

Kristen Bouchard, David Acosta and Ben Shakir are employed by the Catholic Church to investigate "possible supernatural incidents.". Kristen and Ben are sceptic unbelievers, and Ben is my favourite character. David is training to be a priest and has seen God.

One of their nemeses is Dr Leland Townsend, who supposedly sold his soul to the devil, and is brilliantly evil and sometimes funny with it, but other times disturbing.

The most disturbing part of the stories for me is that often Kristen's children are involved, but that is the point of programs like this. They are meant to disturb.

If I am on my own in a dangerous situation, I am fine, but if I am looking after others, especially children, then it becomes a lot more disturbing.

Conclusion

If you are into supernatural or horror, you will probably enjoy it. Check out the trailer and watch a couple of episodes, and you might get hooked as I did.
