Don't waste time waiting for someone to grow up. When someone requires you to exhaust yourself explaining how to love them—without them proactively seeking to understand or reflect—the likely outcome is mutual harm.

This is because your dimensions of love are incompatible. Perhaps they are wonderful people, but you are simply not on the same level. Your communication will never be on the same wavelength; conversations often spiral into arguments.

Gradually, you will only feel wronged, while they will feel exhausted. Even thoughtfulness becomes a burden. No matter how much you give, the other person won’t truly feel it, and in the end, separation is inevitable.

Deciding to leave such a relationship isn't selfishness—it is self-love. When you take good care of yourself, you will finally have the energy to properly nurture love.

In love, when two people are on similar intellectual and emotional levels, they are more likely to understand each other and work together effectively. You should illuminate each other in love, rather than wear each other down.
