Macbeth - The Musical

Act 1 Scene 1

By Steve LancePublished about an hour ago 1 min read

[Verse 1]

Thunder rolling on the moor

Black clouds gather, hear them roar

The world will twist and change

The wind grows cold, the air turns strange

[Chorus]

Fair is foul, and foul is fair

Hover through the fog and filthy air

Hear the witches whisper there

Beware, Macbeth… beware

Macbeth… beware

[Verse 2]

Lightning splits the midnight sky

Three wicked sisters standing by

They conjure what fate shall bring

Blood will follow Scotland’s king

[Chorus]

Fair is foul, and foul is fair

Hover through the fog and filthy air

Take each step with great care

Beware, Macbeth… beware

Macbeth… beware

[Verse 3]

Ambition burning deep inside

Soon the thane will change the tide

All is set, the darkness swears

A crown of gold, a crown of tears

[Bridge]

We will meet to cast this fatal spell

Upon this field beneath the gale

When the hurly-burly’s done,

When the battle’s lost and won.

[Final Chorus]

Fair is foul, and foul is fair

Hover through the fog and filthy air

With the warning comes despair

Beware, Macbeth… beware

Macbeth… beware
