Where darkness falls, where secrets crawl,
the ink spills dark as night,
a dance of dreams and despair,
where thoughts entwine like twisted vines.
Labyrinths of longing lay bare,
each word a step into the unknown,
the taste of bitterness lingers,
as truths unravel in a carnival of ghosts.
Beneath the surface, a storm brews,
haunted lines trap restless souls,
as night unfolds its velvet cloak,
and we plunge into the depths of sorrow’s art.
In the amber glow of forsaken light,
fragments of longing swirl,
like petals lost to winter winds,
finding solace in the darkened corners.
Here lies the beauty of what’s unseen,
each verse a haunting note,
crafting odes to shadows uncharted,
where the heart beats fierce and raw.
Let the ink bleed unrestrained,
and the burdened silence sing,
for in this realm of darkened dreams,
we embrace the beauty of the void.

That opening line is one of the best. This whole free verse poem flows with a longing. Love the vibe
