Renewal
I’m out and about
Strutting through the daffodils
Flicking back my hair
Doing my thing
I feel your stares
I hear your whispers
I just don’t fucking care

Your attention?
Not needed
Your love?
Not wanted
Your approval?
Who cares?
Making flower chains to wear
Dressed like a star
Wearing comfy shoes
Jonquils blooming
I have the blessing of sunshine
Upon the breeze’s kisses
Now that’s what’s up
~

Never needed
Your love?
Never wanted
Your approval?
Who cares!
I’m confident in my stride
Walking beneath rainbow arches
With my head held high
Following my own path
Skipping to my own tune
Not caring what others say
I do my own thing
~
Your attention?
Wasn’t needed
Your love?
Wasn’t required
Your approval?
Wasn’t asked for!
Dancing in the rain
With no cares or worries
Doing the electric slide
Setting robins to flight
Life may not be a bed of roses
But clover has a spring to it
So move on down the lane

This was such a happy poem for me to start my day on! It's Autumn here and the mornings are getting colder, but we have a couple more warm days coming this week, so I'm going to try and hit the beach one last time!
