festivals
Festivals provide the ultimate experience for music fans; Beat is the next-best-thing to Woodstock, Coachella, and beyond.
Hello May, Beltane and Jordan Reyne
It is an incredibly bright and sunny morning, though as I am writing this I am not sure what the temperature is like outside , although I will know by the time I finish this. I have been out and though it is clouding over it seems that winter has truly been banished and spring is moving towards summer, so weatherwise we are in a more clement atmosphere a;lthough there are still some dark clouds overhead , but as long as they wait until tonight before drenching us that will be fine.

Shambhala
I know a place where we can frolic like elves in an open field of wonders, where we can dance like the faeries in the warmth of our evening gowns when the heat turns to dew. I know a place where the woodland creatures come out to play in the midst of the night, and mermaids glisten in the rays of the day. Where giants roam the grounds on stilts, bees buzz in mystical gardens of colors, and butterflies flutter around the free-thinking spirits who lay napping under the Wishing Tree. I know a place where you can find hidden doors, that lead to abandoned, un-melodious pianos where the goblins perch by the "Poe-tree", dazzling with poems galore, and touched by the energy of all the joyful walker-byās. I know a place where you're free to be yourself and be who you want to be, real or not, and no one could nor would bat an eye; a place so beyond this realm its hard to believe itās existence is among this world. I know a place we can escape, a place we can all call home.

āHere we come a wassailingāsā dark origin during Christmas
Christmas traditions as we know them today have evolved over the decades and sometimes the celebration was not so merry and bright. There was a time when the December festivities for Roman Bacchanalia, (or Saturnalia,)and the Yule Feast of the Norse countries were filled with ā lascivious ness and debaucheryā. There was drunkenness, orgies and excessive feasting for weeks. Christians during that time wanted to hinder the activities they thought to be immoral by celebrating the birth of Christ on December 25. Their efforts backfired however when a number of people combined the two and celebrated Christmas in the same manner as the other mid winter observances. Everyone put their own spin on the holiday and inebriated young men found a way to rob the rich and line their own pockets.

play the one we know.
The ten years of music that mean a great deal to me and I feel really define my life so far fit into a slightly shifted ādecade,ā the 10 year period of 2007-2017. So late aughts, early āteen-aughtsā? I donāt really know what to call that but you get the idea.

Oh, to be at Woodstock
Driving through the biggest traffic jam I've ever seen, but persevering because I know what's on the other side. Standing in the rain, soaking it in, hearing the most incredible music played live in my midst, while surrounded by a music-loving, peace-loving crowd. Being covered in mud, but barely noticing, hardly caring. This is my dream.

Does Glastonbury Festival Live Up to the Hype?
Let me start by saying this: I donāt usually attend festivals. Iāve tried, Iāve been to a few and they are just not for me. The Ā£10 drinks, for a single? Iām sorry but it aināt on. The crowds, the food (or lack of). The hours waiting around for the one act you actually want to see, with little else to fill your time without bankrupting yourself. Maybe I was doing it wrong or maybe I was unlucky in every experience. Regardless, my point is, this article isnāt a festival lover talking about her love of one particular festival. I am someone who doesnāt usually enjoy festivals and yet I will still say that Glastonbury truly lives up to its status as one of the greatest music festivals out there.
