The Strange Case of Former WWE Superstar Marty Jannetty and His Confessing To Murder
For any wrestling fan, the name Marty Jannetty is synonymous with the late 80s wrestling scene. Finding success in the late 80s Jannetty moved to the major leagues of wrestling, performing for what was then known as the World Wrestling Federation. As one-half of the Rockers, along with WWE Hall of Famer and legend, Shawn Michaels, Jannetty, and Michaels were one of the tag teams that could be depended on to bring the fans to their feet. It was the golden era of tag team wrestling.

This story has haunted my memory since I first heard it. I am fascinated by family history and while watching one of my favorite shows about celebrities doing their genealogy, I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen during one particular episode about Cynthia Nixon. She knew nothing about her father’s side of the family but would soon find out that there were skeletons in their closet that ultimately led to major prison reform around the country.

Who Shot Ya?
Everybody knows how, when and where Christopher Wallace (aka Biggie) and Tupac Shakur died. Only six months apart, two men of 25 and 24 years-old were shot in the middle of messy crowds that follow big events, and every set of curious eyes looking for their 15 minutes of fame saw an opportunity to create their own version of who did it.

He is Killing Me!
He Is Killing Me! (From Scotland to Hollywood) Our system has had a long-standing failure to deal with mental health issues. I worked in a psychiatric hospital where I witnessed insurance companies repeated refusal to authorize a continuance of treatment for patients that had reached their allotted number of days. Further constraints involve legal issues regarding detention of patients hospitalized on an involuntary basis. As a facility you work and are often hampered by these restraints. There are times though, that a patient's mental health issues can allude the professionals treating them, and the following is one such case.

A little while ago I was having a conversation with a good friend of mine. I had brought up my belief that there's something very wrong with our society. We have this strange obsession with these monsters that live and breathe amongst us. We constantly talk about them instead of the victims, we have their names and stories burned into our memories instead of the lives of their victims. Then we inadvertently reward this behavior, by giving them endless media attention and straight-up Netflix documentaries. From "Don't f*ck with cats" to "American Murder", etc. Worst of all in my opinion we talk about them while they're still breathing. It's one thing to talk about monsters in a historic sense especially with say the worst of the worst Hitler, Mussolini, Genghis Khan, etc etc. They're long gone. But I refuse to speak their names or put the names of monsters that are still alive, in my articles in any way shape or form. I am a firm believer if we as a society refuse to learn these monsters names instead of fawning over them, we take away their power and truly show that we shun their horrendous behavior. Think, when you were in grade school and a very effective but non confrontational way to stand up to a bully was to let them know you refuse to get bullied by them and you won't give them the satisfaction of a response. We need to apply that same principal so we don't keep unintentionally breeding these monsters.

The Late Night Show with Jack the Ripper
It is England 1888 and suddenly women are showing up with their throats cut and disemboweled. Following these murders were various letters that were sent to newspapers and law enforcement, including the infamous “Dear Boss” letter that gave the killer his name- Jack the Ripper. There was doubt at the time whether these letters (and one kidney) were pranks or real relics from the actual killer but that didn’t matter to the public. These sensational murders were taking place in lower class areas (mostly the Whitechapel area of London) and targeting prostitutes. For more information than you will ever need (and nightmares, don’t forget the nightmares) you can check out https://www.jack-the-ripper.org/writers.htm. It’s where I found out all the facts about Jack the Ripper (beyond the basics that everyone knows) and is the reason I have all the lights on in my house at the moment.

People Assume Woody Allen Is Guilty for One of Two Reasons, and Not the One You’d Expect
"I will never watch a Woody Allen film again." My friend said to me as we were having lunch after a hike with our kids. The subject came up because the five of us, two adults and three teens, started a conversation about whether one has to stop enjoying an artist's work after the artist makes an ignorant comment, a 280-character blunder on Twitter, or is charged with a serious crime or offense.

Jenny Diver: a clever London criminal
Jenny Diver was born in about 1650 and died on the gallows in 1710 after a lifetime of thievery, mostly in London, in which her cleverness at relieving wealthy people of their property excited a certain amount of admiration, although not from those who were her victims!
