L'Espresso
5/5 Dayni Rating. L’espresso has been a key feature on Ballarat's Sturt Street for as long as I can remember. It’s a quaint little space that’s very cleverly laid out with the entrances leading to separate sides of the cafe that are divided by shelves filled with vinyl records, CDs, newspapers, and magazines. The age of the building shows in the ornamental roof, moody green wall paint, and the 70s-looking wooden tables, chairs, and front counter, but the creative decision to have low lighting really plays into the retro feel of the cafe in a very clever way. It feels warm, and cozy, and even on a random Monday morning... the place was PACKED! Everyone was chatting away, even if they didn’t arrive or dine together, which tells me that this place is filled to the brim with locals (which is always a great sign), but not only were they locals, every single person in the cafe, besides my sister and I, seemed to be regulars! And THAT is a very good sign, a cafe with an army of regulars is always, without a doubt, no questions asked, serving great food. The atmosphere can be as warm and cozy as can be, but if the food's not up to scratch, people won’t come back, and I can safely say that L’espresso does not have this problem!

I'll Be Back Boston
There is so much about Boston that I love, and there are so many reasons as to why I would visit Boston again. The city is rich in history and full of culture. For just a quick trip, like a weekend getaway, Bean Town is perfect! My last trip was for the weekend, and it was a blast. I loved visiting the historic landmarks. My favorite part about the visit, however, was all the great Boston food.

Wilkes-Barre Food
Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. We start our journey here because this is where I lived until fairly recently and, after six years, I got to know the place. I know, it gets a bad name, and it was certainly not my favorite place of residence, even if I technically lived across the river in Kingston; but there are silver linings in all situations and my six years did not defy the pattern. I had the great fortune of living near my best friends and, more importantly for the subject of today’s post, I ate lots of food. Mmmmm. There are some delicious places to stop by if you're in the area.

Snooze Sparkles with Delicious South Austin Creativity
Brunch is a huge part of Austin's weekend diner culture, and the competition in this town is steep with so many brilliant culinary minds constantly crafting the next decadent morsel to appease hungry guests. I will admit that for a long time I missed brunch. No, I didn't miss it in as I pined longingly for it. I literally was sleeping through it on most weekend days, much to my dismay. While I am not one of those people who HAS to start their day with breakfast, my boyfriend is, and thus it became quite a challenge to find a quality place still serving a full breakfast menu at 2 pm that wasn't "fast food." However, recently we have begun to find ourselves awake on Saturdays at a normal morning hour and, to our delight, the world of brunch is now within our reach!
