English in the Dark
Delivering English, Chapter 14 English lay in absolute darkness; it was not like being in a darkened room or even in a room with no windows and a closed door but an actual complete void of light, which caused his eyes to begin to hallucinate stars and spots

Excerpt From a Novel I’m Slowly Writing
It’s been three weeks since the funeral, and all I could do was visit Rose’s grave. Every day, for hours on end, I just stood there thinking in a perpetual loop. Maybe this is a dream. She’ll walk up behind me, hug me, and we’ll smile. It’ll be any minute now. This can’t be happening. This can’t be real. Maybe this is a dream…that’s where the loop restarted, just going and going. There wasn’t anything else my mind could think of. Accepting what had happened felt impossible, as if this was all one big mistake. Rose wasn’t the type of person who could be killed, her life couldn’t just be over. I felt like such a child for thinking like this, but there was no way around it. She was always there in each of my darkest hours, so where is she now?

The Adventures Of Cyruss Skull
As it was written, the portents of his birth were witnessed across The Nine Great Galaxies. The Galpharidon returned to the rim of The Golden Galaxy after millennia in the void, in the farthest reaches of The Red Galaxy, above a planet named Voriancor, The Rangers Of The Star Elan stood against a fleet of United Intergalactic Consortium and decimated them, despite being vastly outnumbered, The Skellerites vanished from Galaxy Fractum and the ancient Mass Relays of The Courzai were discovered scattered throughout The Nine and beyond. Immediately after news of these portents had been disseminated, the believers, and a few nonbelievers, began their search for the being described only as “The Boy”.

Forever is Our Today
One tip-toe away from free fall, Dody gazed down into the unlit depths of the stairwell she found herself atop of. A red something glowed far past the place where she lost count of the stairs, beckoning to her with a crimson lark and a faint hum. It seemed animate compared to the surrounding obscurity. Breathful. With a squint, Dody reached her hand straight out from her chest and parted her lips in a soft oh of appreciation; she imagined her fingers getting warm where the light met her skin.

Freedom
Freedom By: Megan Davis Chapter 1 It’s 10 am on a Friday and I’m sitting in my history class counting down the minutes until I can finally escape this classroom. Listening to Mr. Smith yammer on about 1913 is like sitting on a pile of nails. It’s extremely painful. The walls are suffocating me as I sit here, slowly coming in closer and closer.

Naughty or Nice

Lifetimes Ago
Conners death was something he had always feared in the back of his mind, but vaguely enough he recalled that he knew it was coming and the event itself wasn't painful. At the time, he was swallowed by a darkness blacker than the darkest unlit night, the darkness never brightened or went away. And in that darkness he floated amongst the nothingness, for hours, or days, maybe even months until he felt a strange sensation overcome his being. ‘How is it possible that I can feel anything?’ he pondered, overwhelmed by the unexplainable sensations that consumed him. Suddenly before him, the face of a seemingly holy being manifested into the dark. At first, it seemed that this face was twisted but as it came into focus, he realized that face of this ethereal being was turned up in joy. He couldn’t remember the last time he felt that kind of joy, even when he was alive. And before he knew it, the God-like being lifted a finger larger than the trunk of the biggest tree you can imagine and tapped Conner ever so gently, yet this touch was powerful enough to send him spiraling down, on and on into nothingness. An unknown amount of time passed before the unthinkable happened.
