The Overvoid Monitor
Literature is a creation of the human intelligence, a formulation of eminent genius, a construct of reality through the progressing of story. Comic book fiction is a storyboard, imprinted on the blank page, that attempts to create reality; behind illustration, balloons, words, and inking, the process of imagination takes place, through which is granted a window into the real, that which exists, and an insight into its history. Inherently, the comic book is an experience into mythology, it adeptly brings together the pseudo-scientific and the religious, the mystical and the metaphysical in a universe of possibility, a multiverse in fact, that determines the primary law that is the foundation of all existence: all that exists is a story that is created, evolving, and in the process of design. Art transcends the story into the mythical, the mythological, the expression of the will to power hidden in a natural force that seeks to dominate and extend its rule over its environment — the cosmos. Is that then the purpose of all life: to rule, to dominate, and perhaps to attain to an omnipotence that is really the desire for personality revealed in its universality and its exactness of thought?

Best R-Rated Comic Books That Should Be Made Into Movies
There was once a time in comic book history where superheroes were squeaky-clean role models. During the 40s, superheroes were all-American, wholesome characters who were just inhumanly good-to-the-bone. (Exhibit A: Captain America.)

A New Cape
"Thwip!” I yelled, shooting a web at my sister while dodging her glowing lasso. Being on our trampoline made dodging her attacks much easier and plus made me look a lot more like Spiderman. Using another web to swing around her, I had a clear shot and fired. “Thwip!” Looking up, there lie my enemy, subdued by the sticky net. I was victorious!

Comic Heroes and Racism
Every time I see a white person yell, “That’s not canon!” over a new twist on an old comic book hero my “mug o’ tears” gets a little fuller. When Zendaya was cast as MJ in Spiderman: Homecoming, so many comic book fans cried over the portrayal of a historically white character by a brown skinned actress. “MJ has red hair!” “MJ can’t be black!” and so on could be found all over the comic book fan forums. Meanwhile, POC finally got a chance to be represented as a main character in a classic comic book hero’s story.

Unspoken Rules of Comic Expos
Comic expos are collections of some of the nerdiest people on earth waiting in long lines to get that newest edition Darth Vader action figure, dressing up as video games characters, and fangirling over seeing the voice of Lucius Malfoy (Jason Isaacs) at a panel (those last two were me). It's a collection of the geekiest of the geeks and comic expos are an absolute blast.

Comic books have created some pretty strong female characters over the years, many of whom are villains. Many of these strong lady characters have become some of the greatest female comic book villains of all time. Some of these female villains have become even more iconic than their male counterparts.

Marvel and DC are the top two when it comes to recognizable superhero names. So why has one had virtually all the luck on the big screen while the other struggles to find footing amongst the fans? There are some very good reasons and probably a few people wont agree with.

Why Characters Need to Fail
The shame I feel at calling myself a comic book fan right now is sad on many levels. For too long, I have watched the comic book community deteriorate from the sidelines and I have decided to finally throw my opinion out into the void for whoever wishes to hear it.
