It was overwhelming. There was just too much useless stuff I needed to pack in order to catch my flight back to Syracuse, NY in time. How did I accumulate all this junk in one year of college, I thought? I was furiously cramming books, term papers, notebooks, clothes, shoes, toys, candy, Christmas gifts, antiques, kitchen appliances, musical instruments, and lampshades into my variety of carry-on bags, suitcases, and trunks.
