The little jumping bean that always ask why?
Hi my name is bean and I love to use the word why? Why does the sun have to go down at night? Mommy bean says, its so the moon can come out and her and I can go to sleep, and have sweet dreams at night.
Why do we have snow? The weather man Mike says, its so we can water the flowers and trees.
One day, I was playing outside jumping around and I asked why I jump so much to my mommy bean? She said, its to get all of the energy out of my body. Then of course what do you think came next? Why? Why do we have to have energy? So my wise mommy bean said, we need energy to be able to stay strong and healthy the way we do that is by eating. We can't just skip along without are food. It's like are fuel in a car, without it we wouldn’t be able to swim, run, or play outside without it. So we need to make sure we eat all are vegetables, fruits, milk, meat, fish, and grains especially so we can stay strong.
So why do you think I ask why all the time? So I can get as much information I can, the more questions I ask the more knowledge I will have. So little jumping bean says its always ok to ask why. Never ever give up on asking questions, you will always learn a lot.
Mommy bean loves me because, of my mind and my warm heart and loves that I ask why? So why? Let that be the question and you will learn something wise just like me the little jumping bean.

Thank you I wrote this years ago and asked Andrew to illustrate it for me but he never did.
I absolutely love how you jump from his voice to your voice. I just love this poem. It's a celebration of the love you two have for each other. I also love your free-verse style. Can't wait to read some of your other poems. I had no idea you wrote poetry, Jennifer! Can you believe that?
