Soft Sigh
#5 of 6 I came across this little beauty. It was like no other leaf I’d seen. So I thought it was a good find. Reminds me of a half butterfly, the way it was placed, compared to the one at the back. Hence the inspiration for this haiku. There is a butterfly haiku I am also loving by Sean. A, I will link his below.
Rain comes down like spies.

Limp leaf, flap like butterflies.
🦋
Wings fall, like soft sigh.

Across the street from my house, a man slept under a tree, his dog by his side. My first, naive thought: he must be traveling through. But he kept coming back, often sleeping there during the day. Then it hit me—that person might not have a home.
