Surfing With My Lover
Pure enjoyment in the surfing the sea

Surfing With My Lover
We walk across the warm sand
The boards under our arms
Salt air clings to our skin
And the sea calls us closer
Waves rise like steady drums
He paddles ahead, I follow
The water lifts us together
And the sky feels wide open
He turns with an easy grace
I match him, heart quickening
Our laughter mixes with spray
The tide carrying us forward
For a moment there is no time
Only balance, only breath
Only the hush of the swell
And the strength of him near me
We ride until the light softens
Shore waiting like a gentle hand
Every ripple sings of freedom
Every glance says we belong
Side by side we leave the ocean
Salt still on our lips
But something sweeter in the air
The sea has blessed our love

Two Grumpy Old Men Solve the Problem
Marty and Steve were two grumpy old men who lived together. They had known each other for years. Marty had been a bachelor all his life. Steve said it was because no one could stand to ever live with. Marty’s standard reply was “Well, you are, so what sort of a moron does that make you!”
