That long walk as it chases you down

A sun-shining day turns to one so dreary

A head filled, so loud is the sound

Your inners begin to feel eerie

What words did he say

Not just words they were, as they tore through you

Like stone anvils they weigh

Leaving you not knowing what to do

They say it's all a part of a plan

But you're being robbed of your one true gem

Whether they know it, it's paid by every man

And painful it is to know you'll be paying it ahead of them

So, go on and live each day like the last

Take a moment to enjoy, smell the roses if you will

Don't fret it all went so fast

We'll all catch up and have to pay that bill

Life's a bitch

And then you die

Your spirit soars in a cinch

Into the heavens it'll fly

About the Creator

The Man Behind The Mask

From fiction to reality there’s tons to share about this crazy life. From being a single father, an officer, and having had many insane adventures while I learned about the world, my imagination runs wild with ideas.

No, no, no! Life's a beach & we're all simply sandcastles until the tide comes in & removes all traces! I do like the poem, Jason. A lot.
