Bipolar disorder; understanding the highs, the lows and the in between.
The Girl in the Window
I saw the reflection of a girl in a rain-kissed window. The raindrops could have been her own tears, for her eyes were sullen and lost. She was a reflection of deeply hidden scars. Her soft cries were an echo, barely heard but closely felt. I stared at her, too afraid to turn around. Or so I thought at first. Maybe it was not fear, but captivation? I felt entranced by her sorrow. I even felt it pool within my heart and flow through my veins. Somehow, I knew that even if I could turn around, she would be gone. She was a ghost from a time long ago. She chose me in this moment that was frozen in time. I could no longer hear the ambience of traffic and chatter. I could no longer feel the chilling drops of the heavy rain. All I could do was stare into those haunted eyes.

Mind Tracker — my first application for mental health
The application shows analytics on the psychological well-being of the user. My brother and I started making the app in the midst of COVID, when many people were facing emotional and mental problems. The human brain creates a false memory just a few seconds after the event!
People may misremember events, often within seconds, and reshape memories to fit their expectations. What are relapse signatures in mental health? And why are they important?
Relapse. Ah, the dreaded word for anyone struggling with an illness. Whether that is addiction, cancer or mental illnesses. This article will be about relapses in mental illnesses. I want to start by saying although relapse is almost inevitable in certain mental illnesses it is not the end of the world, I know it feels like it. A relapse is just a jail visit, not a death sentence (weird analogy but you know it makes sense).

Lifting the veil of sadness
There’s an undercurrent of loneliness and isolation to everyday life. Its intensity varies. It’s not always apparent, though it’s always with us. It might creep up on you while walking down a street full of people and feeling disconnected from everyone you see; or when you have an opportunity to speak one-on-one with an interesting colleague at work, but just can’t make the intimate connection you’d hoped; or when someone disappoints you and you feel despondent, weak, and humiliated.
