disorder
The spectrum of Mental Health disorders is incredibly vast; we showcase the multitude of conditions that affect mood, thinking and behavior.
INCOMPREHENSIBLE
It is the instinct of the smallest brain reptile to protect their young. It is second nature to almost every living being to do that no matter what the cost. And most of us would not give a second thought to giving up our own lives, so that our children, get a chance in this world. So what happens when a mother kills her children. Is she evil, is she mentally is, or did she simply want to rid herself of the responsibilities of parenthood. Maybe it is all 3, for myself personally I think in some cases it could be a combination of them all. One thing is for sure there are few who have a lot of understanding when this happens. We are going to take a look at a couple of cases and we can draw our own conclusions as to what the case may be.

Symptoms of Inattention and Women With ADHD
ADHD affects both boys and girls equally; however, boys are more likely to be diagnosed and treated since they are diagnosed earlier in life. When boys are diagnosed with ADHD, it is usually because they have neglected their schoolwork and socialization activities. In addition, girls are less likely to be diagnosed because they tend to perform better than boys in school and play more sports. Because both genders have the potential to have ADHD, females are diagnosed with this disorder at a young age and have more treatment options available to them than their male counterparts.

The Great Debate of Grade 9
Up until grade 9 started, it had just been my parents I figured weren’t understanding me. Now I was starting to realize that even kids my own age also weren’t. Often times, something made perfect sense coursing through my head, so I was always at a loss for why we were on different pages. It was losing its context when coming out from the cortex and through the speaker box. My brain was going to fast for me to convey everything. I’d see the words forming a sentence, floating around in my brain-scape. I’d try to grasp them, but I’d only be able to get a few before the next sentence came.

However, there are others that are extremely rare and you’ve probably never even heard of them.

OCD
I had a conversation today about my OCD. It’s kind of weird, you know? Most people think that it’s rearranging, and shuffling shit around till it’s the perfect shape or size. I really can’t blame them for their perception of what it is, but I wish it was as simple as fidgeting.

Fountain Pens and ADHD
I am someone who has ADHD. I didn’t get diagnosed with it until about three years ago, because ADHD is much harder to detect in women. While I don’t have the typical hyperactivity that’s stereotypical for people with ADHD, I am quite spacey and have always had problems with time management. One of the things that can help to manage ADHD is doing things or using things that engage and stimulate the brain. This is where fountain pens come in!

Conversations, Companions, & Canvases
Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD) makes for a childhood of extreme irritability, anger, and frequent, intense temper outbursts. This lovely disorder was gifted to me around what society calls “the terrible twos.” Though, my irritability in a car led to more than just a normal toddler tantrum. One moment I would be the happiest kid in the world, enjoying the warmth of the sun and the gentle breeze on my skin playing pattycake with my friend on the lawn. The next moment, though--actually during an outburst I did not retain any memory of the events that followed so there’s not much description to be given other than when I awoke from my rage-slumber I found myself grounded and my poor friend nowhere to be found.
