What’s Really Happening on Venus?
For decades, the planet Venus was considered one of the most hostile places in the solar system. Covered in thick clouds of sulfuric acid, with surface temperatures hot enough to melt lead and atmospheric pressure crushing enough to destroy most spacecraft, Venus seemed like a dead and unchanging world.

Open Letter to Every Chartered Veterans Organization
All great veteran organizations are dying. Attend a meeting of the American Legion or the VFW and you’ll see an average age pushing 70, and a youngster, a veteran fresh out of the military is rare indeed. In fact, the youngest in the room are typically around 40 years old whose service may have been decades earlier and no less important than the veteran of 80 right next to him.

Established in 1842: Why Everything is Older Than You Thought.
There was a time, long ago... roughly 2007, when businesses were content to simply exist. You sold bagels, you put a sign on the door, and that was that. No origin myth. No fake Latin motto. No logo featuring an eagle wearing monocles. But those days are long gone.

Word of the Day: 付け合わせ
I woke up too late for my appointment. I didn't set a timer but, I also didn't remember that it was at freaking 8 am. I made a video for Youtube explaining my 180 degree change of mood. I really think it was just that it was my mom's birthday sort of mentally dragging me down. Since it was my birthday time when I decided not to talk to her anymore. It has been a month then... It doesn't feel like it has been a month. Well a month and 10 days.

The Email I want to Send, but won't
Hey, So, my brother called me today and told me you dropped off an envelope with the rest of the money you owed me for your truck. From my brothers account, that was a respectable thing to do. On my account its been 4 years and somehow when he told me that, all I wanted to know was how you are. My brother told me some basic info on you current where about's, nothing that made me feel any better for the reason you disappeared on me. The funny thing is, I carried the crux of you not paying me back for a long time, but really what offended me about it all, was never the money, but the lack of respect you treated me with when we used to love each other. Like I've said its been four years and I've let you go. Yes, there were several lonely nights and failed dates that left an impression on me that they weren't you. I had put you on a pedestal of what connection felt like, what being kissed felt like. I would leave nights with another person feeling almost empty because I never felt cared for like I felt when I was with you.

The Life We Imagined vs The Life We Live
When we are young, life feels like an open road stretching endlessly ahead of us. Our dreams are vivid and limitless. We imagine the kind of person we will become, the career we will build, the places we will visit, and the people who will walk beside us. In those early years, the future seems clear and beautifully predictable. We believe that if we work hard and follow the right path, life will unfold exactly the way we imagined.
