It feels like forever since I was hanging out with my Vocal family and I truly have have missed you! I ventured back here a few times but I felt completely out of practice reading your poems and stories and overwhelmed by the amount of them!

Toonie Thursday
“If you are gonna have pizza for dinner, umm, I mean, lunch, please line up and give me your toonie so I can mark your name down,” the supply teacher, Ms. Williams, squawks from Ms. Salmon's desk. “Otherwise, open your books and begin reading.”

Eavesdropping Sleepy Mission (Unofficial) Challenge Winners
First, off let me apologize for making you wait. I know I'm a day late, and I posted two stories before this one today, but let me explain: I got called into work last night, and also, I am weirdly particular about the layout of my profile. I like it to go in a certain order when possible (unless there's a series involved.)

One Of Those Days
Introduction Many days I will wake up and have many subjects to write about. I try not to repeat myself and I also am wary of publishing poems one after another. When we work at our day jobs we have no choice but to go to work, deliver what needs delivering and put in the hours.

2024
Introduction My thousandth Vocal Story got a Top Story and praise from many Facebook Vocal Groups, my 1500th also got a Top Story and a $15 Vocal Bonus and recognition from Vocal, my 2000th and this will get nothing since the start of the year I have apparently become a Vocal Pariah.

My Expectations As a Writer Of My Readers And Myself. Top Story - March 2024.
Mackenzie Davis issued a challenge in one of her more recent articles: Writing is NOT a Safe Space. I think this is an amazing idea - because let's be real, I am not writing for fun. I mean, I am writing for fun, but I also want to be a good writer. I want to be a writer with content worth reading. I want people on my writing platforms who read my work to say: "Oh man, she published a book? I have GOT to read it!"

Exam Season Survival: Top Tips for Nurturing Your Mental Wellbeing
Exam Season Survival: Top Tips for Nurturing Your Mental Wellbeing Hard work is the sole key to achieving any goal and dreams that you hold in life. Being true to yourself and placing your utmost efforts in whatever you do, will lead you to the desirable outcome that every person yearns for in their lifetime. To be or not to be the conventional goal achiever, society puts a lot of pressure on children and young adults to academic excellence and achieve good marks in every exam the student undertakes. While it is important to give your 100%, sacrificing your mental health in the process ultimately results in complete burnout and renders you unable to function healthily and productively.

All I Know Is I Know Nothing
I've never been one to desire love for myself. In fact, more often than not, I've rejected love more than I have embraced it fully with open arms and compelete trust. Some might accuse this attachment style as avoidant, and those people just might be the ones to read me with utmost clarity. It is with regret that I learn this too late in life.

The Dragon Beside Me: Honoring the Woman Who Soars
In the Extended time of the Mythical beast 2024, as Global Ladies' Day drew nearer, I wound up considering the surprising lady who has motivated me — a winged serpent by her own doing, savage, versatile, and perpetually rousing. She is Sophia, and her story is one of win over difficulty, of solidarity despite challenges, and of unfaltering assurance to have an effect on the planet.
