On August 16, 2013, Montana couple Matthew and Jennifer Blaz were inside the car when their two-month-old daughter, Mattisyn, stopped breathing. Jennifer watched as her daughter took her two last breaths. She ordered Matthew to pull over and call 911.

Mark Redwine Found Guilty of Son's Murder
On July 16, 2021, a Colorado jury found 59-year-old Mark Redwine guilty of the 2012 murder of his son, 13-year-old Dylan Redwin. Mark murdered his son after the two argued over photos the teen found showing his father wearing women's lingerie and eating f**es out of a diaper. Dylan threatened to expose his father and show these photos to the court and other people.

Quadriplegic Man Dies While in Jail for Marijuana Possession
Jonathan Magbie died in jail on the fourth day of a 10-day marijuana conviction sentence. The 27-year-old was paralyzed from the neck down and needed a ventilator, wheelchair, and 24-hour care. Despite the jail promising they had the necessary equipment and staff to care for Magbie, he was hospitalized within hours of his booking, only for the hospital to release him and refuse to readmit him, despite jail officials pleading for them to do so.

Timothy Coggins Lynching Murder Solved 35-Years Later
On October 5, 1983, Georgia police found the mutilated body of 23-year-old Timothy Coggins underneath an oak tree known as “the Hanging Tree” in a poor white town called Sunny Side -about 45-minutes from Atlanta. He had been stabbed dozens of times, an X like the one decorating the Confederate battle flag carved into his abdomen. Coggins had been assaulted and dragged behind a vehicle before the killers left him for dead beneath the tree.
