If You Like Superhero Movies, You Should Check Out The Crow
The Crow isn’t a superhero movie in the traditional sense, but I think people who enjoy Marvel and DC movies would love it. The Crow shares many similarities with many Marvel movies, especially those like Blade and the Punisher. The movie follows former guitar player, Eric Draven on his quest to exact revenge on those who murdered him and his girlfriend, Shelly. Yes, you read that correctly, the story’s protagonist is killed before the events of the movie take place. He returns with a new winged companion, a crow.

If you’ve scrolled through TikTok lately, you’ve probably seen a dark-haired lady clapping as she demands women to be polite to men who hit on them, along with replies from hundreds of other TikTokers advising you against this. I can only speak to my own experiences, but I was polite to a man who hit on me and I ended up getting fired for it.

I Spent Two Months Stalking A Hair Dryer
I’m not the type of girl who has a ton of extra money to spend on myself, so I can’t just buy something because it’s gone viral on TikTok (even though I want to sometimes). I must painstakingly research anything I think about buying for myself. My research includes watching multiple videos, reading reviews, and watching the item for months until the price drops. The things I buy usually aren’t trendy, so I usually have the luxury of waiting for a sale without the fear of it selling out. Sometimes, I’ll even add the item to the cart and see if the retailer sends me a coupon for it.

It’s no secret that I’m a huge Mortal Kombat fan, I’ve even written a review of Conquest. Recently, I shared that I was dreading the new Mortal Kombat movie, but since I’ve seen the trailers and posters, my concern has grown. While I know each adaption of Mortal Kombat will be different, there are changes within this Mortal Kombat movie that are odd.

Recently, I imagined what a Goosebumps series for adults would look like. Writing about that franchise got me thinking about other franchises that I love. One of my favorite franchises is Death Note. A loss leader doesn’t always have to be free, but it does have to be set at a lesser price than the rest of the books the author has written. The most common price for loss leader books is .99 cents, but some are listed at 2.99.

What Could An Adult Goosebumps TV Series Look Like?
I can still remember the excitement I felt coming home from the library with an armload of Goosebumps books. The books were short and only took me a day or two to complete. My love for Goosebumps only intensified with the release of the tv series. Now that I’m older, I can’t help imagining how an adult version of Goosebumps would pan out. I would love to see some of the original actors back in their original roles. The new series could open with the characters (now adults) talking about the trauma they went through as children and how everything was much worse than we’d thought.

I Allowed Others To Decide How I felt About Britney Spears
“I bought a Britney Spears cd just to see why everyone likes her so much, and then I cracked it in half and threw it in my pool,” my former classmate said. We in junior high, at the age where our celebrity crushes still seemed obtainable to us. I assumed she hated Britney Spears so much was because she was dating Justin Timberlake, but I can’t be sure. Whatever the reason, Britney Spears was living in this girl’s head rent-free. There wasn’t a day that went by where she didn’t mention Spears. She attacked her looks, her talent, her personal life, and even her intelligence. This girl brought Britney Spears up so much, that I was afraid to admit to enjoying some of her songs.

Rise Of The Armpit Man
If you’re a woman who works retail, you probably know the armpit man. He may go by another name at your job, like the foot man, the panty man, or something else entirely. It doesn’t matter what you call him, because each type of this man functions the same. He’s a creepy man that calls the (mostly female-driven) business you work at and asks you questions that make you uncomfortable. These questions are usually about you personally. Examples of these questions are ‘Do you shave your armpits?’ or ‘Do your feet sweat when you try on shoes?’. He always starts out the conversation normally enough, pretending to ask about the company’s stock or services offered, but it doesn’t take long before he reveals his true nature and the real reason behind his phone call.

I Asked For Help, Doing So Cost My Job
I left a toxic job, or maybe it would be more accurate to say the toxic job decided to get rid of me. The days leading up to me leaving were full of stress, anxiety, and visits to the manager’s office. I had taken the job because I wanted to work at a company that held opportunities for me. I even left a job that I enjoyed because I thought this job would better me, but it worsened me instead.

No One Told Me Pet Loss Would Feel Like This
I lost one of my dogs, Misa, in November of 2019, but I’ve been thinking about her a lot lately. She’s buried in the backyard, and whenever I go back there, I feel like I’m visiting her. Misa was an older dog, and she was blind, but her passing still came as a surprise. I remember how weak she was the morning that she passed, but I didn’t think it was time for her to go. About an hour before I went to work, I tried to give my dogs a treat, and while her sister was excited, she didn’t come running like she normally did.
