Bio
I'm the guy who knows every last fact about Spider-man and if I don't I'll track it down. I love bad movies, enjoy table-top gaming, and probably would drive you crazy if you weren't ready for it.

Sacrifices for the Balance Chapter 9: Life on the Front
Percival has to deal with the cold war at home and finds a clue while Wendy does some research. As Percival walked into his trailer, he wasn't sure whether he should be amused or worried. Nier had wasted no time in putting up the obligatory “NO ENTRANCE” sign on his door. Establishing his territory. How cute. Roderick was planted in front of the television playing GTA5, next to him was a large bottle of beer and a bowl of pepperoni ends on the table, his go-tos on a rough day. It didn't take the skills of the tribe's best investigator to figure out why.

Sparrow on a Plank Chapter 12: Finding Heaven Before Going to Hades
Hajime was smiling. He had just eaten a great meal and had been gifted the leftovers as well as a bag of takoyaki. The sun was in the sky with nary a cloud and he had a great job that involved a lot of travel. Better yet, his fortune cookie had said that his life was looking up.

How to Write Werewolves Better
There is a lot of werewolf lore, and a lot of it contradicts itself. Some werewolves change with the moon, while others change whenever they want. Some werewolves require objects like a wolfskin belt to effect the change, while others do fine on their own. There are even debates on their relative intelligence once they’ve changed, and the debates on which specific forms they have can get…interesting. However, with a little forethought, writing werewolves can be a lot simpler.

Tattoos & Rail Guns Chapter 12: The Little Shoeshine Boy
The gargoyle dropped off the camera and flew out of the rook. Deezle the Defiler hooked the camera up to his laptop and proceeded to watch the footage. He became visibly more upset with every frame. At the end, he had to prevent himself from smashing the camera to bits or at least tossing it through a wall. He couldn't believe what he had seen; he hadn't expected the shade to survive; it was a minor demon at best and therefore imminently expendable, but it had practically died on arrival. The soldiers could have killed it.

A Journey of Pickles
Stuart looked at his hamburger. “Perfect, except for one detail.” He walked to the pantry, looked at the shelves for a few long moments. He sighed. “We’re out of pickles.” He sighed again. Deeper. “I hate the basement.” He looked at the door leading down to the deep, dark basement. “Fine.”

Brass Ring Chapter 10: Bruno Gets Back In The Saddle
Bruno loved the Reubens at the Loaded Swallow, and he savored his sandwich. Well, the one he had to order after my idiot boyfriend was gone. He was also scrolling through the paperwork for the Blue Card Program. He also checked to make sure that Paul was still listed as part of the program; while officially it was set up to make life easier for CAPES members, unofficially it was created to fuel a certain speedster while in the field. It was something he was happy to do; nothing was worse than a hungry speedster in an enclosed space. He had found that out when Paul was trapped by Tintran the Terrible several Christmases ago.

Sparrow on a Plank Chapter 11: From Surf to Turf
Once the ship hit the deep sea, Captain Taylor felt better. It’s not that he hated the towns, necessarily, it was more that it always felt like a compromise of some sort, and he hated compromise. In the port he was just another businessman, and was afforded the respect any other businessman was afforded. In most ports he was treated as a necessary evil, but in Coldport he was treated as a sign of times past, times that would be better forgotten.

Sparrow on a Plank Chapter 10: The Sparrow Flees the Scene
There was, of course, a reason that there were no one guarding Hajime. That reason was running toward his old room as quickly as it could. The pair of Sal and Rick were going through guards as quickly as they saw them. The cultists were quickly learning the difference between ritualized duel and the realities of combat. The two of them were not afraid to use any tactic to succeed, whereas the cultists kept relying on their dueling skills.

Brass Ring Chapter 9: Bouncing Back From The Pain
Bruno smiled wistfully as he entered the doors of the Loaded Swallow. When he had accepted the position of Assistant Mayor, this had become Paul and his favorite place; it was far enough from the city offices to give him a legitimate break from his duties but close enough that he could run into the offices if the mayor needed a save. The position was perfect for him, especially as he had just retired from being The Corsair. He smelled a Reuben and knew Paul had beaten him here. For once. He smiled.

Tattoos & Rail Guns Chapter 10: The Recruitment of the Hedge Mage
Douglas woke to the sound of the lock of the office clicking open. He tried to summon a blast but nothing happened; he didn't even feel the mana flow. He panicked then realized where he was and who most likely had just come in. “Good morning, Lieutenant.” He rose to a sitting position.

Santa Claus' Post-Hallmark Staycation
When Santa Claus entered his bedroom, he smiled. Jessica had fallen asleep in front of the television. His wife of centuries (his dimples appeared as he remembered that her white locks hid the crimson of her youth) had fallen asleep watching some Hallmark movie. He turned off the television as he turned towards their bed. As he hung up his coat, a plan began to coalesce, one that brought a suppressed chuckle. But first, sleep; he was crashing from the sugar high of the night's ride and was already beginning to slow.
