Candy Canes: The Origin and Religious Significance
Candy Canes Are a Holiday Staple Candy canes are a staple of the holiday season, but how much do you really know about them? Unsurprisingly, more of these candies are sold between Thanksgiving and Christmas than at any other time of the year. Many people use them as decorations on Christmas trees, while others give them as treats. The sugary sticks used to exist exclusively in red and white but can now be found in various colors.

Mama cat chose to adopt me
I guess I would have been called the cat lady back in the day because I once owned 14 of them at one time. They were not in my house but lived outside. Over a period of time I would say I probably owned at least 24 cats. My story today took place when I was 14 years old so I have no original pictures. The cover photo, however, is an almost exact replica of my "Mama cat," If you have read any of my recent pet stories then part of this tale will be familiar.

'Bewitched' television series 10 little known facts
1.Inspired by the big screen Bewitched was a television series that ran for 8 seasons on ABC from 1964 until 1972. Sol Saks the creator admitted in several interviews, that his script for the pilot episode was inspired by two films: Bell Book and Candle, and I Married a Witch. Both movies were owned by Columbia Pictures, which also owned Screen Gems, the company that produced Bewitched. This is why Saks was not worried about there being problems from his obtaining his plot from the two movies.

Grief may affect your appetite in several ways
Grieving is a process that is not one-size-fits-all but it can affect your appetite. When I got the news that my brother drowned in 1993, I went 24 hours without eating anything except half of a Kentucky Fried Chicken biscuit. I was in shock and had no appetite but eventually, I began eating normally again. The death of my husband of 40 years also affected my appetite but in different ways. At first, I did not have a desire to eat and family and friends kept telling me that I should. For the first week, I felt as if I had eaten a huge meal and was never hungry. I did force myself to drink water, juice, and eat a little but I could not consume food as I did previously.

Petgreens have triple benefits for felines
House cats can be amazing pets but if they never go outdoors, they miss several important benefits of the outside world. They are not partaking of the fresh air, sunshine, and exercise that are enjoyed by felines who can live and or play outside of a house. There are 3 community cats in my neighborhood who are orange, black, and gray. For the past 3 years I’ve watched them being fed by neighbors, sleeping on my back porch, going back and forth between houses, and roaming the streets. They walk, run, climb trees and play and most importantly eat grass.

If you enjoyed the original Twilight Zone series then you will absolutely love Alfred Hitchcock Presents
During the pandemic I found myself watching a lot of METV and experienced a wonderful benefit. I began enjoying the original episodes of the Twilight Zone and also Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Often when I fell asleep, I would wake up and not be able to tell which program was on. This was because many of the same actors were on multiple episodes of both television series. If you enjoy the old black and white television programming from the 1950s and 1960s and were a fan of The Twilight Zone, you will really enjoy watching Alfred Hitchcock presents. The reverse is also true.
